Dr Jenny Wakeling graduated from Cambridge University (UK) with an Honours degree in Zoology (1992) and with her veterinary degree (1995 - with distinction in medicine). She practiced in Scotland for 4 years where she undertook additional postgraduate studies in dog and cat medicine and she also practiced in Calgary for 3 years. She recently completed a PhD at the Royal Veterinary College (UK) in feline hyperthyroidism (2008)and her special interest is feline medicine especially hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and hypertension. Jenny joined the Capilano team in 2008 and is currently the Medical Director.

Jenny and her husband have a young son and they enjoy all the great things that Vancouver has to offer: skiing, hiking, canoeing, cycling and camping
